- Take a short trip up to British Columbia don't miss Victoria
it's beautiful
- Go fly a kite at Gas Works Park or on one of the many beaches on
the Peninsula. Don't miss the Kite Festival in Westport
- In the spring make sure you don't miss the Tulip Festival in Mt
Vernon
- We have some great yearly festivals here in Western Washington a
few are Bumpershoot, Puyallup Fair, Seafair, Folklife Festival,
Hempfest, Freemont Fair and more.....
- Check out the Ballard Locks
- Shop at Pioneer Square
- East of the mountains holds lots more to check out especially
some great produce also Octoberfest in Levenworth, the Grand Coulee
Dam, Moses Lake and so much more.
- Take a drive up to Mt. Baker but careful it starts snowing there
in September and doesn't stop till May lol
- It's only a 14hr drive to Yellowstone National Park and well
worth the time and effort
- Along the way you can stop by Lewis and Clark Caverns off the
back road to West Yellowstone
- Hike to Comet Falls on Mt Rainer on the south side or on the
other side to Spray Falls or Tolmie Peak. Wouldn't it be nice
if the park service fixed the road so you could hike to the Carbon
River Glacier again that was a beautiful hike but alas no such luck
- Some real good dear hunting if your into that head east for the
best.
- Hike to the farthest western point of the continental US starts
in Neah Bay. Not too long a hike and just beautiful scenery
- Take in the firework display in Seattle on the 4th at Gasworks
Park

- Visit Mt. Rainer National Park
- Visit Olympic National Park
- Hike through the Hoh Rain Forest
- Drive the scenic loop over the North Cascades Highway
- Drive the scenic loop of the Olympic Peninsula
- Hike Mt. Si in North Bend
- Snow ski my favorite is Crystal Mountain
- We have some untouched coastline here in Washington you won't
believe how beautiful it is. 2nd Beach, Point of Arches, Ruby
Beach are some of my favorites.
- Take a drive on the beach in Ocean Shores or Westport
- Take in the tulips in the spring in Mt. Vernon
- Visit our many museums
- Take in a game, Mariners, Seahawks, Storm, Thunderbirds etc
- Go out to the theatre. We have a vibrant theatre presence
here in Seattle.
- Golf, Golf and more Golf. Our hidden secret is the quality
of the golf courses here in Washington state from the west side to
the east side incredible courses await the avid golfer (Druids Glen,
The Home Course, McCormick Woods)
- Visit the Zoos in the area (Woodlawn Park Zoo, Point Defiance
Zoo, Northwest Trek and don't miss the Olympic Game park in Squim.
- Fishing is great so hook into a salmon.
- Take the trip to Blake Island for a true salmon dinner
- For the east coasters who miss grinders the only place I found
that is even close is Athens Pizza in Auburn.
- Drive up to Mt. St. Helens and while your up in that area just
outside Cougar, Wash. is a place called the Ape Caves. It's a
mile+ lava shoot you can hike through. Bring warm clothes and
lights.
